The RX model is a simplified unit without the internal circulation pump. This unit will take longer to deliver hot water but will provide endless hot water. With a simpler, fewer-part design, it is less likely to require repairs and uses less energy to operate.

Basic installation includes mounting the Navien Rinnai unit to an existing wall, with the hot/cold water, an appropriate gas connection, fresh air/exhaust terminations, an electrical outlet, and a condensate drain within a few feet of the unit's location. Haul-away and recycling of one water heater with a capacity of 50 gallons or less is also included.
